Not all cats hate water...After reading some interesting articles from a book that I got, I decided to put together some of the not-well-known facts, so that more people can enjoy:
1-The most powerful muscle that human have : tongue :P
2-You can't sneeze with eyes open.
3-Each time you lick postage stamps, you get some calories. (Now I know what to do when I got nothing in my fridge...)
4-On average, right handed people live longer than left handed. (I can write with both of my hands though, but I can't recognize what I wrote with my left hand.)
5-Crocodiles can't put their tongues out :P
6-Astronauts can't cry in space because there is not gravity. (Poor astronauts, can't even cry home)
7-Polar bears are left handed (I don't know where that came from...must got someone who tested it)
8-An cockroach can live up to 9 days without its head, and die of starvation only. (...food is everything...)
9-Whales beat their heart only 9 times per minute. (No wonder why they move so slow.)
10-An ostrich(the bird bird that can't fly) has eyes bigger than the brain. (Are those the same birds who hide their heads only when they are scared?)
11-Starfishes don't have brains.
12-A shark can detect only 1/1000000 % of blood concentration in water.
13-Cows can provide more milk when they are listening to music. (Relaxing music of course...)
14-Oysters can change from male to female, and female to male...and goes on and goes on.
15-Owls are the only bird species that can see blue color.
16-An 60 pounds octopus can go through a hole as big as a dollar coin. (If they mouth fits in, everything else would fit in.)
17-Hippopotamus can run faster than human (D'uhhhh)
18-Elephants can't jump.
20-Snails can sleep for 3 years without waking up. (Man, I thought I was the one who sleep the longest on Earth when I slept 12 hours straight last weekend.)
21-Coca-Cola was green in the beginning. (Never tried that one)
22-When you use headphones for one hour, bacteria in your ears would multiply by 700 times. (No to mention your ear wax would also increase by N times.)
23-On average, each American have 2 credit cards. (Ah ha, that's why credit cards are top keywords in major search engine...)
24-On average, we go to washroom 6 times a day. (No necessarily for "big business", I went there to wash my hands most of the time...)
25-When a baby is born, he/she has 300 bones(Adults have 206 bones)
26-There are more people using English in China than USA.
27-If the moon is up above your head, your body weight would slightly be less.
28-The world's longest place name is: "Taumatawhakatangihangaoauauotameteaturi- Pukakpikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu', in New Zealand. (It took me 2 minutes to read it.)
29-Our eyes didn't change its size since we were born.
30-The world's youngest married couple with kids was in China in the 1910s,they were only 8 and 9 years old.
31-There are more chicken than human on Earth.
32-On average, we need 7 minutes to fall sleep. (Me 2 minutes during work.)
33-There is not clocks in Las Vegas casinos. (hmm very surprising...)
34-In the 1930s, ketchup was used as drug.
